Garuda Indonesia has reported an operating loss of $233.9 million during the first half of 2014. Total operating revenue was up 0.7% year-on-year at $1.73bn, but costs for the same period were up 14.8% at $1.96bn. Fuel costs alone were up 15.9% at $759 million.
