Frankfurt Airport (FRA) saw 28.9 million passengers from January to June 2015, 4.1% up on H1 2014. The average number of passengers per flight increased to 135.4. Accumulated maximum takeoff weights (MTOWs) grew by 3.3% to 14.4 million metric tons, while aircraft movements remained stable (up 0.2%) at 229,582 takeoffs and landings for the same period. FRA’s cargo throughput (airfreight and airmail) declined by 1.8% to 1.04 million metric tons. In June 2015 FRA saw cargo (airfreight and airmail) fall by 2.5% year on year to 173,984 metric tons.
