China Southern has reported a 5.2% fall in traffic during May with 8.79 million passengers served. Between January and May 2015, the airline carried 44.9 million passengers, and increase of 12.9%. Domestic traffic rose 6% year-on-year to 7.6 million in May, with international traffic down 0.4% to 952,400. The cargo and mail turnover dropped 2.1% to 123,860 tonnes in May. China Southern’s passenger load factor fell by 2.5 percentage points to 79.4% in May, with the freighter load factor down 0.3 percentage points to 70.2%.
