In a new series of briefings on the impact of COVID-19 on specific Member States, Eurocontrol has released a country-level forecast on the UK. Eurocontrol analysis shows that in the (most likely) Scenario 2, 2024 traffic in the UK is expected to achieve 95% of the 2019 level. The briefing shows that a total of two million flights have been lost since 1 March 2020. Current flights have dropped by 72% of 2019 levels to 1,859 daily flights. Eurocontrol forecasts that traffic in 2021 will be 42% of 2019 levels and is predicted to rise to 72% of 2019 levels
