Ethiopian Airlines has resumed flights to its fourth destination in Saudi Arabia and 12th in Middle East with direct flights to Medina. The airline first launched this route in 2017 that mainly catered to pilgrims for Umrah. The route was halted in mid-2020. The airline plans to operate four weekly year-round flights on the route deploying its 154-seat B737-800 with 16 seats in business and 138 in economy. With the return of this route, Ethiopian will have 95 weekly Middle East passenger flights in the week starting August 2. The airline plans to launch its 13th Middle Eastern destination with direct Bahrain
