Emirates doubles services from Gatwick

Emirates has doubled its daily flights from London Gatwick since the start of the year due to a spike in demand. The introduction of the new route takes Emirates’ total UK weekly flights to 91. Richard Jewsbury, divisional vice president of Emirates UK, said the carrier has seen a “considerable uptick” in demand for international travel in recent weeks, particularly from the South East. “Emirates is fully committed to the UK and we have operated flights from the airport for over 30 years, providing vital connectivity to Dubai and across our international network for passengers travelling for business, leisure or
