Embraer has signed a firm sale for 24 E175 jets with United Airlines. This order represents a transfer of 24 E175 jets previously placed with Republic Airways Holdings (Republic), currently in Embraer’s backlog, which will be cancelled. The 24 aircraft ordered by United Airlines are scheduled for delivery in 2017. The contract has a total value of US$1.08 billion, at list price. This backlog movement will be reflected on Embraer’s 2016 fourth-quarter results and does not have an incremental impact on the company’s current backlog.
