easyJet will fly to Cologne Bonn airport this summer, following the low-cost carrier’s (LCC) announcement of a new link with Berlin Tegel. From 1 June, easyJet will add 33 weekly flights from the North Rhine-Westphalia region to its latest hub in the German capital. Utilising the airline’s fleet of A320s based at Berlin Tegel, the addition of easyJet’s capacity will see another 5,700 weekly seats between the two airports, with Cologne Bonn offering close to 15,000 weekly seats to Germany’s largest city in S18. The LCC returns to Cologne Bonn after two-year hiatus, gaining an immediate 40% share of flights
