Delta Air Lines chief operating officer and executive vice president Mike Spanos is departing from the company, it said in a filing. The departure is effective as of August 31, 2024. No replacement has been announced to date. Spanos joined the airline only in June last year. He brought with him no aviation experience. However, he had previously served as CEO of American amusement park chain Six Flags, as well as executive roles at PepsiCo. He also serves as a member of the board for US convenience retailer and pizza chain Casey’s. The Wall Street Journal reported Delta CEO Ed Bastian
