Delta Air Lines and Grupo Aeromexico are planning to build a maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) facility at Queretaro Intercontinental Airport in Central Mexico. The MRO site, which will replace the one in Guadalajara, will have the capacity to service as many as seven aircraft at a time. Aeromexico CEO Andres Conesa has confirmed that the two airlines will jointly invest as much as $50 million in the new facility. Delta Air Lines president, Ed Bastian, states that the facility would “usher in lower maintenance costs”.
