Russia carrier Ural Airlines is cutting costs by introducing a new payment scheme for pilots that will pay per flight instead of per hour. The airline is also now performing its own C checks on its A320s utilizing its new maintenance and repair center and is implementing a route network optimization plan. Ural Airlines general director Sergey Skuratov said the new payment scheme will help the carrier reduce flight times and cut costs.
