South African regional carrier Cemair has signed a deal to acquire 16 Bombardier CRJ200s from US airline Delta in order to expand both its domestic and international operations.  The deal means Cemair will operate the largest CRJ fleet in Africa, although it confirms some aircraft will be used solely for spares or parted-out.Cemair previously utilised three CRJs alongside its Beech 1900 turboprops, and has been flying the type for around two years.  The new aircraft were previously operated by Delta’s now defunct subsidiary Comair, and will be introduced over the course of a year.
