CAAC reports China passenger volumes up 12.4%

In February 2015, the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) has reported a 17.7% increase in total turnover volume of 6.45 billion tonne-kilometers, with passenger turnover up by 14.7% to 58.58 billion passenger-kilometers, and passenger throughput up by 12.4% to 34.93 million. Cargo and mail turnover volume were up by 37.7% to 1.38 billion tonne-kilometers compared to the same period last year. Cargo and mail traffic rose by 21.8% to 406,900 tonnes. Passenger load factor fell slightly by one percentage point to 84.5%, with freight load factors down 0.1 percentage point to 70.9%.
