Brussels Airlines, part of the Lufthansa Group, will add three A330 aircraft to its fleet “in the coming years” to reinforce its Sub-Saharan Africa network, the airline said on September 13, 2024. The new aircraft will bring its fleet to 13 total. “Brussels Airlines is further embarking on its profitable growth path and we continue putting Africa at the heart of our long-haul strategy,” said the airline’s CEO Dorothea von Boxberg. “The demand for flights to and from Sub-Saharan Africa is developing at a fast pace and it is crucial for Lufthansa Group to grow its footprint in the region,”
