Bombardier-ATR fight for WestJet order

Although Bombardier was considered to be the favourite option to provide WestJet Airlines’ new regional fleet, ATR is making a convincing argument that while fuel costs remain high, its turboprops are the better option. The Bombardier Q400 burns up to 47% more fuel on shorter routes than the French-Italian ATR 72, says ATR.
