Bangkok Airways posts 35% 2019 profit increase

Bangkok Airways  operating results for 2019 with total revenue amounting to 28,609.2 million baht up by 2.4 percent compared to 2018. The net profit was reported at 356.7 million baht, up by 35.3 percent.  Mr. Puttipong Prasarttong-Osoth, president of Bangkok Airways said that, “The increase in revenue was largely due to special items from gains on sales of investments in BDMS amounting to 1,990.8 million baht, together with dividends received from the investments. Bangkok’s  average passenger load factor for 2019 was 68.1 percent while the airline carried a total of 5.86 million passengers, dropped by 1.6 percent compared to 2018.
