A consultation paper from Bangalore airport operator Bangalore Airport International Ltd (BIAL) has proposed shutting the airport for maintenance seven hours a day, every day for 55 days. The shutdown is proposed to start at 9.45 a.m. and will last for seven hours, which means any flight scheduled between 10.30 am and 5.30 pm. will not be able to operate for almost eight weeks.
