For reasons beyond its control, Bahrain Air has been forced to reduce or cancel flights to 11 cities. Routes to Dammam and Dhaka have been withdrawn and flights to Amman, Beirut, Doha, Dubai, Jeddah, Kathmandu, Khartoum, Kuwait and Thiruvananthapuram have been cut back due to the lack of required permissions from the civil aviation authorities. Bahrain Air chief executive Richard Nuttall said the airline has “issues” with the Civil Aviation Authority, which he hopes to resolve soon. “We are meeting with the authorities later this week to see what can be done. Hopefully, our operations will be on track soon.”
