BAA EMERGENCY TIMETABLES PROPOSAL RILES AIRLINES

The Board of Airline Representatives in the UK has stated it is “surprised and dismayed” at airport operator BAA’s proposal to impose emergency timetables on airlines during severe conditions such as the snow disruption experienced in December 2010. BAA CEO Colin Matthews suggested at last week’s hearing of the Transport Select Committee that the airport operator could impose restricted operating timetables on airlines during certain situations.
