Scoot is to add nine Embraer E190-E2 aircraft to its fleet as part of a deal with US aircraft lessor Azorra. The Singapore Airlines-owned carrier said it will be the first airline based in the city-state to fly the aircraft type, once they are “progressively introduced” from 2025. “The new aircraft ensures that Scoot is ready for growth by enhancing our connectivity in the region and supports the further development of our Singapore hub,” said Leslie Thng, Scoot’s chief executive. The Brazil-made aircraft seats up to 122 people and will be used on “non-metro” routes out of Singapore, Scoot said
