AWAS delivers fifth A320 to LAN Airlines

Dublin-based aircraft lessor, AWAS, announced yesterday that it has delivered the fifth new A320 passenger aircraft to LAN, as part of the 2011 deal which saw AWAS and LAN enter into a purchase and leaseback transaction for 5 Airbus A320 aircraft that the carrier had previously ordered directly from the manufacturer for 2011-2012 delivery. LAN will use these new aircraft to strengthen and modernise their regional network throughout South America. As part of this overall fleet solution, AWAS has also completed the early redelivery of three B737-700s from LAN Colombia. The 737-700s have already been delivered to two other operators
