Rolls-Royce confirmed yesterday that Asiana Airlines has selected the Trent 900 to power the six Airbus A380s the Seoul-based carrier has on order for 2014-2017 delivery slots. This contract, as with many others from RR of late includes a TotalCare long-term service agreement, and it is here where the real money is for RR. The TotalCare option allows RR to cut its sale prices and still claw back more over time. Investors love the TotalCare program and well they should.
