Mexico’s Aeromar has ceased operating, according to a letter posted on the carrier’s website. The announcement has been in the works since late 2022, when the Mexican government turned down a rescue plan for the financially troubled carrier, which had in the meantime been trying to raise capital and strike a deal with creditors. The airline was founded in 1987 and, at the time of its demise, flew to 21 destinations.  It said it planned to liquidate assets, including 10 aircraft.
