Dominican carrier Arajet has claimed to have emerged as a “national leader in passenger transport” after six months of operations. The airline said it has carried around 150,000 people to 17 destinations since its maiden flight on September 15 2022. “Arajet began its operations with ultra-low prices and totally new Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft, which has allowed it to consolidate a unique value offer in the region, allowing Dominicans to visit interesting little-explored destinations, and promoting the entry of tourists to our country”, said founder and chief executive Victor Pacheco Méndez.
