The low-cost arm of Turkish Airlines, AnadoluJet has expanded its route network by adding direct Istanbul to Rome flights. AnadoluJet will operate daily flights between Istanbul and Rome. AnadoluJet already operates seven weekly flights to Italy and with this new addition, has doubled its weekly frequency to 14 by introducing the Rome flights. With the launch of the new route, the total number of international destinations served by AnadoluJet will be 38. The inaugural flight between Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen Airport (SAW) and Rome Leonardo da Vinci Fiumicino Airport (FCO) took place on May 26, 2023, lasting more than two hours.
