American Airlines routes cut just the start

American Airlines management is warning that without additional aid, more domestic routes will be cut. American has suspend service to Del Rio, Texas; Dubuque, Iowa; Florence, South Carolina; Greenville, North Carolina; Joplin, Missouri; New Haven, Connecticut and Williamsport, Pennsylvania. Roswell and Stillwater will follow soon without government help, the airline warned. American would have dropped services to Joplin and Sioux City, Iowa, but is still awaiting permission from the US Department of Transportation to exit those markets permanently.
