Allegiant reports almost 30% passenger increase in January

Las Vegas-headquartered carrier Allegiant’s passenger traffic topped 1.2 million in January 2023, a 27.6% increase on the same month in 2022. The load factor for January 2023 was up 14.1 points to over 83%, with available seat miles up 5.5% to almost 1.4 million. Traffic was down on the 1.45 million passengers reported for December 2022, with January typically one of the least busy months for air traffic and December often among the busiest outside of the summer holiday season. Allegiant announced eight new routes on February 20 .
