Alitalia’s preliminary figures for October show an increase in revenues in the intercontinental sector by 7.5%, compared to the same month of 2018. Passengers on long-haul routes (251,304 travellers carried on intercontinental flights in October) grew by 7.8% compared to October 2018. Alitalia’s passenger revenues in October showed a slight growth, despite the air transport strikes in Italy occurred on 9 and 25 October: an increase by 0.7% compared to October 2018 which had seen revenues increased by 6.7%.
