airBaltic hired 931 employees in 2022, the carrier said in a January 4 statement, taking its headcount to over 2,000 and on track to top 2,500 during 2023. The Riga-based airline said the expansion came as demand for flights revived in 2022, with chief executive and president Martin Gauss saying the number of crew “will keep growing” as more aircraft are added to airBaltic’s fleet.
