Air Zimbabwe has suspended flights to South Africa over fears its aircraft could be seized for outstanding debts. The airline owes debts of over $140 million. It has decided to temporarily stop its daily flights to Johannesburg until it has secured funding to pay its debts there. Earlier this week, Air Zimbabwe scrapped together money to save a 767-200 which had been impounded on landing at London ‘s Gatwick Airport on an order from US parts firm, American General Supplies for non-payment of debts.
