Last month the MDC-T National Council resolved that Air Zimbabwe Private Limited should be shut down immediately and a new airline with foreign investment should be formed to take over the whole staff at Air Zimbabwe. It has been revealed in the past few days that Air Zimbabwe management disregarded recommendations by Nicholas van Hoogstraten, who has over the years bailed out the airline with emergency funding, that it should shed 1,000 jobs in a restructuring exercise.
