Air India’s membership of the Star Alliance codeshare partnership has been unanimously approved in a meeting of all the partner-airline CEOs in London. Air India becomes the first Indian carrier to join the partnership, and expects to be able to offer the scheme to passengers on July 11th. Star Alliance COO Jeffrey Goh said: “We restarted the re-integration with Air India in December last year and just half a year later we are ready to confirm the official joining date.
