In a further sign that the Indian airline sector is turning a corner, Air Costa has outlined expansion plans to offer a nationwide network by the end of October. Air Costa CEO KN Babu said that the carrier has applied to the Indian Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) to upgrade its air operator’s certificate (AOC) to national carrier status and “expects to receive the green light by the end of October 2015”.
