Bangladesh’s private airline Air Astra commenced commercial operations with the first flight from Dhaka to Cox Bazar with ATR 72-600 from November 2022. The airline operates daily three flights on the Dhaka-Cox’s Bazar route and twice daily services on the Dhaka-Chittagong route. Going ahead the airline plans to expand its operations to cover all major regional routes in Bangladesh. The airline currently operated on two ATR 72-600 with plans to add another two by the end of this year. The airline plans to expand its fleet to 10 ATRs by the end of 2023.
