AeroSvit-Ukranian Airlines has confirmed it will begin its UK operations from London Gatwick. Ukraine’s largest network carrier will fly passengers from the London facility to Kiev on five services. “We are delighted to welcome the new airline carrier, AeroSvit-Ukranian Airlines, to Gatwick which will provide the opportunity for around 65,000 passengers to fly direct to this destination,” Stewart Wingate, Gatwick Airport’s chief executive, said. Alexander Avdieiev, acting director general at AeroSvit-Ukrainian Airlines, said that passengers flying to Kiev will then be able to proceed to other areas of Ukraine, such as Odessa, Lugansk and Frankovsk.
