Aegean Airlines and Olympic Air have cancelled flights due to take off on March 16 after the Hellenic Air Traffic Controllers Union opted to take part in a general strike being staged the same day. Aegean said it was “obliged to cancel all scheduled flights of the domestic and international network” and told “all affected passengers” that they “can change their tickets without any reissue fee and fare difference”. The strike follows the recent deadly train crash in Tempi that killed 57 people.
