Czech Airlines (CSA) has confirmed that it will sack up to 100 of its 300 pilots as part of a restructuring drive, which involves transferring eleven aircraft to a subsidiary. The dismissals are expected to take place gradually, with the first pilots to go this week. The news comes after industrial action by Czech Airlines Pilots Association (CZALPA) that caused the airline to ground its aircraft last week. The union is suggesting that the job losses are in retaliation for the strike action and is preparing additional action.
