A brand new Boeing 777-200LR owned by Ethiopian Airlines collided with an Emirates A340 at Bole International Airport. The Emirates plane was trying to take-off to Entebbe International Airport while the Boeing 777 was parked at Stand 17 in the airport. The Airbus crashed into the Boeing 777 on its tail Auxiliary Power Unit (APU) with its left wing, while heading to the runway to take-off. The A340’s left wing although stated to smoke was maintained and made its flight, ET was forced to cancel its flight due to a cracked tail.
