Kuwait Airport employees have joined customs workers in protest over pay by striking over the weekend. The action caused nine Kuwait Airways flights to be cancelled on Saturday as 3000 airline workers joined already striking customs workers throughout the country. Under pressure from labour unions, the Kuwait government has offered a 25% pay increase to state workers, but some unions have said the rise is not enough.
