Senegal’s aviation authority has reported that a Senegal-bound medical evacuation aircraft with seven people aboard may have collided with 737-800 aircraft operated by Ceiba International Airlines shortly before vanishing from radar screens. The Senegalair aircraft was last seen passing Dakar, its destination, on Saturday night and vanished above the Atlantic Ocean. Search and rescue efforts are continuing. “According to initial information, there was a collision between two aircrafts and we are seeking to either confirm or to rule this out with the technical investigation,” said the director general of Senegalese civil aviation authority ANACIM, Magueye Marame Ndao, in a statement.
