Due the reduction in traffic caused by the collapse in the country’s national carrier Malév, Budapest Airport, the operator of the Liszt Ferenc International Airport, is closing down Terminal 1. Spokesman Mihály Hardy said that Terminal 2 is sufficient to manage the reduced traffic. The closure of the terminal will be carried out over time but employees and the owners of commercial facilities have already been notified of the move.
