The main landing gear on a Jet Airways 737-800, Flight 9W-2423 from Varanasi to Khajuraho, collapsed when the aircraft landed Khajuraho’s runway 19. During the roll out the left main gear collapsed and the aircraft came to a stop on the runway about 1200 meters down the runway resting on right main gear, left engine and nose gear. The 59 passengers and eight crew were evacuated via slides, with no injuries reported. The aircraft received substantial damage, however. India’s DGCA is investing the incident.
