Technologies unit Hamilton Sundstrand has signed an agreement to work with AVIC Electromechanical Systems, a division of the Commercial Aviation Corporation of China, to make the C919’s power system. Hamilton Sundstrand will also make the electric system, pilot controls, and fire and overhead protection system for the C919 jets – a contract that is estimated to be worth $1.5 billion combined.
