Tata Group and Swiss aerospace contractor RUAG Aviation have announced plans to build an aircraft manufacturing facility in Hyderabad, India. The facility is expected to construct aircraft fuselages and wing structures for the RUAG Dornier 228 programme. Tata Advanced Systems chairman Subramaniam Ramadorai said: “The Tata-RUAG partnership is an example of cooperation between India and Europe. That RUAG has entrusted us to deliver the Dornier 228, at world-class standards of precision and quality, demonstrates our success in developing a highly skilled and motivated workforce with established credentials to undertake high-technology work for global customers.”
