Japan’s Skymark Airlines has selected Panasonic Avionics Corporation’s eXConnect system to supply the airline’s free-of-charge in-flight Wi-Fi service. For domestic routes, Skymark will introduce the free service on its fleet of new A330s. The airline also expects to eventually offer the Wi-Fi service on its planned long-haul services. Skymark CEO Shinichi Nishikubo said: “Our customers love in-flight Wi-Fi, and today, we are taking a strategic step forward to ensure that our passengers can be both entertained and productive everywhere our aircraft fly.  We look forward to launching this extremely exciting service with our partners at Panasonic Avionics.”
