ATR reveals previously undisclosed buyers

Turboprop manufacturer ATR has recorded ten previously undisclosed orders for the ATR 72-600. Among the orders are Canary Islands operator Binter Canarias, which has added another six orders to its original order of six ATR72-600s. The order is worth up to $150million, with the first aircraft due for delivery during 2015.

ATR also added orders for two more ATR72-600s from Air Tahiti (VT, Papeete) bringing its total to six; one order from Air New Zealand (NZ, Auckland Int’l) subsidiary Mount Cook Airline (NM, Christchurch) which brings its total to nine, and one order from Maldives carrier FlyMe.

ATR announced at the Farnborough Airshow that it has taken firm orders for 144 aircraft (119 ATR72-600 and 25 ATR 42-600) with options for 112 additional aircraft, since the beginning of the year.
