AirTran Airways experienced technical difficulties with its website on Tuesday, which meant passengers were unable to book flights. The systems were up and running later that same afternoon. However reports posted on Twitter said that the airline had problems with its reservation system at various airports, including Orlando International Airport and Atlanta, resulting in long lines and missed flights. AirTran was forced to manually process passengers at Atlanta and Orlando airports, which resulted in lines of up to 20 minutes at Orlando International, and wait times of up to 45 minutes at the ticket counter in Atlanta.
