Airbus has stated it is confident it will be able to transfer deliveries of six A380s deferred by Qantas Airways to other customers. The European manufacturer has experience in transferring deliveries of orders cancelled or deferred in 2009, when some airlines were struggling to maintain their financial stability. Yesterday Qantas announced it had asked Airbus to defer delivery of the last six of the 20 A380s that it has on order. The airline operates 10 of the double-decker aircraft and will take delivery of two more this year and another two in 2013. Airbus plans to deliver around 25 A380s
