Two Ryanair aircraft have reported to have crashed during two separate incidents at Dublin airport. In both crashes, the winglets of the aircraft struck other Ryanair aircraft during taxiing on the ground. During one incident the winglet detached from its parent aircraft and became embedded in the tail elevator of another aircraft. The winglets are reported to be to blame for these incidents which have occurred in other locations in Europe and the U.S. Recommendations for aircraft to be fixed with cameras on the winglets have been rejected on the grounds of excess costs.
