Blackpool airport lost a legal battle with Jet2.com over its refusal to allow two of the airline’s its late night flights to land last October. The aircraft were forced to divert to Manchester because the airport said it did not want to provide ground staff and emergency services after 9pm. The airport had also threatened to prevent the airline from taking off or landing outside of the airport’s published opening hours of 7am to 9pm.
